Goodreads: 2015 reading challenge

Soooo happy for starting the year right!

I used to read a lot when I was a teenager (oops I suddenly feel super old) but since college, I think I’ve read a maximum of just 5 books per year.  Not really because I don’t have the time, but I just always feel too tired to read. Plus t’s a lot easier to marathon movies and shows than sit down and finish a book. Can’t even force my brain to think of what I’m reading because of school work. Haha!

Anyway, my new year’s resolution is to change that! I’ve been saying this for the longest time but last year, I joined the goodreads book challenge wherein you set the number of books you’d like to read for the whole year.  Though almost impossible, I challenged myself to read 20 books, but ended up reading only nine.  You may check the list here.   That’s better than nothing, right? Also, the list shows 19 out of 20 books read because I included manga chapters there too. Lol, pathetic.

This 2015, I set the same goal and guess what, after just a week, I’m on my fifth book already! Heeee~ So happy. View the challenge here.

So far, I’ve read:

1. Tangled by Emma Chase
2. Black Lies by Alessandra Torre
3. Love and Misadventures by Lang Leav
4. Infinity by Sarah Dessen

Currently reading The Girl in 6E by Alessandra Torre in between work, haha.  Just in case you noticed, I read two erotic books and I’m on my third one at the moment.  I haven’t read any erotic novels before (yes, even Fifty Shades of Grey!) but I quite enjoyed the books recommended by my officemate.  I read Tangled and thought it was funny rather than sexy, I would’ve loved it if the lead guy is not an a**. Haha. BUT (no surprise here) I looooveed Black Lies! I guess I’m into darker stuff and angsty characters. Lol! And I love the way Alessandra Torre writes, that’s why I’m now reading another one of her books.  I’m almost halfway done! I’m hooked.

The other two books were short but I liked it nonetheless.  For Sarah Dessen, though, Dreamland still remains as my favorite.

I’m tempted to write book reviews (even short, incoherent ones) at goodreads but most of my friends are there and I’m too shy.  I still need more confidence when it comes to writing in english~ D;

Thank God I’m not *yet* too busy with work! I’d devour all the books hohohoho! And I’m declaring myself as an e-book person now.  I purchased Moon+ Reader Pro, the very first app I ever bought! Might as well put it into good use. I can’t even remember the last time I actually read a *real* book. I know it’s a  lame excuse, but I cannot read without proper lighting and if the book has really small font and line spacing 🙁 So ebooks for my Galaxy Note 8.0 are perfect because I can adjust everything~

So excited for the books I’d be reading this 2015! Also, add me on goodreads? 🙂

  • Kainggit, gusto ko na rin ng tab! Hehehe.

Pinpush talaga kita sa ipad/iphone e no? Wahaha. Pero go sa ebooks!

      Masaya naman, parang romance lang rin pala na medyo detailed. LOLOLOL. Ayoko i-oversell pero nagandahan talaga ko sa story at pagkakasulat ng Black Lies huhu
